Due to continuing snowfall and road conditions, Conneaut Area CIty Schools will remain closed for the second consecutive day on Wednesday December 4th. We understand this may be inconvenient and appreciate your patience and understanding as we ensure the safety of all our students and staff. Thank you to the city road crews for all they have done but we still can't safely put buses and students on the road at this time.
Please continue to monitor your email, our website, and social media for any updates regarding the school’s status for Thursday, as there is a storm forecasted for Wednesday evening.

Since we are under a Winter Storm Warning until 7 am Tuesday and it is highly unlikely all of families, roads and schools will be unburied by the start of school on Tuesday morning, I am letting you all know now that Conneaut Area City Schools are closed on Tuesday, December 3rd. A reminder that tomorrow, Monday, was already a scheduled day off for students. The safety of our families and staff is our top priority. This will be a Thanksgiving we all will remember for sure! Stay warm and stay safe. A special thank you to all our safety forces and plow drivers who have been out since Friday morning trying to do the impossible. We appreciate the work you all have been doing.
Due to the Winter Weather Warning Conneaut is under, it has been made as a collective decision with all those involved to cancel the parade for this evening, Nov 29. The safety of our parade participants, children and community members are our top priority. Thank you for understanding. We are looking into alternative dates to reschedule!! But please share and get the word out!

Every November, colleges and universities around the country celebrate First Generation College Student Celebration, which is designed to increase awareness and engagement of first-generation students, staff and faculty. We are excited to celebrate the people who decided to take the first step toward earning a college degree!
This year, Kent State Ashtabula would like to expand the awareness and engagement of First Generation College students and graduates within our community!
What is a First Generation College student? A First Generation student is defined as a student whose parents did not complete a college degree.
Research shows that communities benefit from having more college graduates in the community. College graduates tend to be more involved in their communities, specifically they have higher rates of civic engagement, higher volunteer rates, and higher voter turnout.
Please help us celebrate this important group of people in our Conneaut community!

This Saturday, November 2nd, the freshman class will be hosting a craft and vendor fair at Conneaut High School from 9am-3pm. Over 65 crafters and vendors will be spread out in the cafeteria and the hallways. The show will feature a visit from Santa, concessions, a 50/50 raffle, and a basket raffle with winners being drawn at 2:00. Admission is just $1 for adults. Students and children are free. Please use the Jackson St. entrance. Come out and support local crafters and vendors and the freshman class and get a jump on your holiday shopping!
