Remember, there is already no school for students on Tuesday as it is a Professional Development Day for staff. And this is the official announcement that there is also no school on Wednesday, January 22nd, due to the forecasted wind chill and cold temps. I am taking the advice of Matt Wintz, an Ashtabula County native and full time meteorologist, and making the call now so families have lots of time to make arrangements. Stay warm Spartans and we will see all students back on Thursday! PS-To the stage crews that asked me all last week for snow days-here you go!

Another winter weather event is on our doorstep once again with impacts beginning as early as this evening, and expecting to last through Thursday. A Lake Effect Snow Warning has been issued for Conneaut from 4 PM today until 1 AM Saturday. Therefore, we have no choice but to close schools down for the remainder of the week. There will be no school or athletic events on Thursday or Friday. I wanted to send the notice out now to give everyone time to get out to get any supplies you may need before the storm hits. And while you are still snowed in-please get some reading done! Stay safe and see everyone on Monday, December 9th.

Due to continuing snowfall and road conditions, Conneaut Area CIty Schools will remain closed for the second consecutive day on Wednesday December 4th. We understand this may be inconvenient and appreciate your patience and understanding as we ensure the safety of all our students and staff. Thank you to the city road crews for all they have done but we still can't safely put buses and students on the road at this time. Please continue to monitor your email, our website, and social media for any updates regarding the school’s status for Thursday, as there is a storm forecasted for Wednesday evening. Stay safe, and thank you for your cooperation.
