Congratulations to Loretta Andes who retired today from the Conneaut Area City Schools after 31 years of service to the district. She will be missed and has contributed so much to the district over the years. We wish her much happiness!
Wishing all our Spartan Families a very Merry Christmas. It’s a snow day for sure! May you all enjoy the holidays with your loved ones near and far and thank you for staying #SpartanStrong this year🎄
The holiday season is upon us and some of our annual traditions may have to change. It's important to continue our healthy practices at home when we celebrate. @OHDeptOfHealth provides tips to keep families safe: http://bit.ly/OhioHolidayGuide #StaySafeSpartans
It's important we focus on the mental health of our students, educators and staff members. There are many resources to provide support and wellness outreach.

Dear Conneaut School Community,
Following Covid-19 protocols, we want to inform you that over the weekend we have recently received information about three confirmed cases of COVID-19 in students from the Conneaut Area City Schools. One student is from Gateway, one from Conneaut High School and one from Atech. Because of the length of time the students have been out of the building, there is no educational impact on other students or staff. We want to send get well wishes to these students for a quick recovery!
At Lakeshore Primary, Mrs. Kelly’s preschool class will be closed for the week. We have not received any notification from the health department of a confirmed case, but have decided to close the class as an extra safety precaution. Our priority is the health and wellness of our students and staff and we are following the recommended guidance to ensure a healthy environment for everyone.
We continue to work closely with the Conneaut Local Health Department. Conneaut Area City Schools is committed to the safety and health of our students, staff and community. Please remember, what happens in our community impacts learning for the students in our district. Let's continue to practice healthy habits to slow the spread of #COVID19. #MasksOnOhio #InThisTogetherOhio
Stay Spartan Strong,
Lori A. Riley, Superintendent

With the confirmation of positive Covid-19 case in a staff member at Conneaut High School we are taking the precautionary measure of closing down all practices and scrimmages for both high school and middle school until Monday, November 16. Again, this is only a precautionary measure. No coach, or student-athlete has tested positive for Covid-19. Pending our health situation, we will resume practices on Monday, November 16. Please take care and continue to practice our Covid-19 protocols.
Thank you all for your patience, caring, and understanding. We will make it through this. The health and safety of our student-athletes and coaches come first.

It only takes one person to cause a domino effect of #COVID19
cases here in Conneaut. Protect yourself and our students by
taking easy safety measures, like wearing a mask. Don’t let up!

Today, Governor DeWine announced that Ashtabula County has moved to "red" under the Public Health Advisory System. After conferring with Conneaut Health Director Nichele Blood, other Superintendents in Ashtabula County, and after looking at the most current data provided by the County Health Department, Conneaut Area City Schools will stay the course and remain in our current hybrid phase. We do take the health and safety of our students, staff and community seriously. Everyone has done an amazing job to this point working together to keep the doors of our schools open, even if it is under a limited basis. Please, I must stress, now is not the time to let our guard down. I am asking everyone to be extra diligent in following the ABCDs of COVID-19 that University Hospitals provided us, and to limit activities outside of your family "bubble" as much as possible. Together, we will remain Spartan Strong! Stay well and stay, especially over this Halloween weekend! Thank you, Lori A. Riley, Superintendent

SOAR Families....classes are now loaded! Here is a tutorial from Mrs Strohm for the program: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1TBzp3iUd8jejgprD0sJG_G3HN8qi2t9gFiRvZhPYPyw/edit#slide=id.p
An article titled “CDC advises parents to prepare for “sudden sleepover” for school children” is being circulated & is creating quite a stir by implying the State of Ohio has the authority to quarantine children during this pandemic in schools. Nothing is further from the truth.
We are so excited to see students again starting tomorrow for the first time in 179 days! Lakeshore students will be attending all 4 days this week. Those students in grades 3-12 who live South of Route 90 and East of Mill Street attend Tuesday and Wednesday. Students who live on Mill St, West of Mill St and North of Rt 90 will attend Thursday and Friday. Remember masks are mandatory! Please assess your child for covid symptoms prior to leaving the house. Parents should remain at the bus stop with their child as we are taking temps before they board. We will take this day by day together as one Spartan Family!
SOAR families, I just received this email. You cannot log in at this time.
Lincoln has not completed enrollments yet for students- only accounts have been created. After many login issues with other school districts, we discovered it was best to have one password initially (students can change it later), so for now your students’ passwords will all be the same. That will be coming to you soon.
