As you are now aware Conneaut Area City Schools will be utilizing Remote learning for the safety of our students, families and staff January 7th through January 14th. Live instruction will take place for students January 10th - January 14th. As of today students will return to school on January 18th. Thank you for your understanding. These are difficult times for all of our students and your patience is appreciated. Please read below:
Student Expectations for Remote Learning:
1. Attend and participate in all Google meets daily
2. If able find a quiet place to join class
3. Student is expected to remain in class for the entire class period or when released by teacher
4. Must show face when requested by staff member for attendance purposes or when answering questions
5. Complete assignments by due dates/ times as they count on your grade
6. Attendance is taken each class period
7. If extra support or tutoring is needed, ask for help!

Remote learning expectations: Students were given a copy of the bell schedule. They were instructed to follow the schedule of their classes. They should log into their Google classrooms during their scheduled times. Attendance will be taken in each class. First period begins at 7:30.

Welcome Back CMS students and families. The first day of class is August 30, 2021. The doors for students open at 7 am.
The tardy bell is 7:20 am. Dismissal will begin at 2:05. 7th and 8th grade families may drop their students off in the west parking lot (First Drive from Route 7) while 6th grade students and older siblings may be dropped off in the back parking lot near the gym entrance.
Bus route information will be shared at the parent meeting and posted to the website beginning on Wednesday.
Lady Spartans 7th and 8th grade Volleyball team played well at their first scrimmage of the season. First game is this Tuesday at CMS against Jefferson. 4:00 start
School Supplies for CMS:
Pencils, Paper, Pens, Colored Pencils, Ear Buds for Chromebook, Bookbag to carry school assigned Chromebook and Tissues. Certain classes may request additional supplies.
Teaching staff will be contacting families starting on the 24th of August to schedule meeting times to meet the teachers, pass out schedules, Chromebooks, assign lockers, and tour the building. The tentative dates for these meetings are August 25th and August 26th. We ask that parents attend during the scheduled time. Again staff members will call on the 24th to schedule these meetings.
CMS School Supplies:
pencils, pens, colored pencils, paper and tissues. These supplies will be necessary in all classes. Individual teachers might request additional supplies more specific to their classroom. CMS will have family meetings to start the school year the week of August 23rd. Staff members will call that week to set up times to visit the school and classrooms. First student day August 30th.

CMS SOAR student Chromebook turn in will be held Friday, June 4th at Conneaut High School between 11 am and 3 pm. Please see your SOAR teacher to turn in as they will have a gift for each student from CMS.
All students at CMS received a gift this week instead of a yearbook. SOAR students will receive their class shirt when turning in their Chromebook. Thank you Miss Weagraff for making this happen!
